Next Fourth Plinth commission

So my first blog about something creative then. Whilst scanning my emails I came across an article that caught my eye mainly because I have just spent my Christmas and new year in London. The article can be read below with a link to see the entries. Whilst I find a couple of the designs a little bemusing, I must say the ship in a bottle and the mirror ideas do sound intriguing.

  • Jeremy Deller
  • Tracey Emin
  • Antony Gormley

  • Yinka Shonibare
  • Bob & Roberta Smith

Find out more about these artists and view images of the models.

What is the Fourth Plinth?

The Fourth Plinth is in the north-west of Trafalgar Square, in central London. Built in 1841, it was originally intended for an equestrian statue but was empty for many years. It is now the location for specially commissioned art works.
